Lepidoptera Mundi (formerly European Butterflies and Moths)
European Moths Nights is a cyclic event that started in 2004. In the beginning, it was organized by the Hungarian and Swiss Entomological Societies. Since 2019 the main organizer is the Lepidoptera Mundi portal.

The main objective is to observe and record moths at the same time in the whole of Europe. Participants are reminded that they have at their disposal 5 nights for the purposes of observation. This is mainly because we don’t want bad weather or personal duties to stand in the way of the programme. But if you can and feel like it, you can collect records either at the same place over 5 nights, or at 5 different places in the same period.

This year the event is planned for 1-5 August. We encourage you to participate in the European Moth Nights.
More info about the event you can find here.
